- Our logs are engineered to perfection. With our pioneer design, called the "Turman Edge", overlapping notches make rain run down and off your house rather than seeping in. When combined with our skirting and seal, this systems ensures that you have a waterproof subfloor.
- In a typical log home time is lost cutting and seating the rafters into the log wall. With the "Turman Notch" this is no longer an issue. All milling has been done at our facility and the construction crew just has to place the rafter into the secure pocket and then move to the next piece.
- Few log home companies have good methods for matching and notching logs. Turman's "End Match Tennon" system ensures seamless joints every time.
- Typically, a gap occurs in the space where the rafters and the log wall meet. Most log home companies fill the gap with scrap insulation and hide it with siding. Turman Log Homes mills a special "blocking log" to fit in the space so the final product is a solid log wall all the way up to the ceiling. This system provides a tighter, higher quality log structure.
- Turman Log Homes offers two distinctive types of kiln dried logs: solid or "rustic" and laminated or "engineered" where pine timbers are laminated together and then milled into a "log".
- Turman Log Homes uses "Efficiency Logs". These not only save homeowners money on building time, but our interlocking systems also saves energy, reducing monthly utility costs.
